    Sainsbury’s Launch Stiegl Grapefruit Radler

And some delicious Beer Cocktail recipes...

    · Stiegl,Beer Cocktails,Beer Availability

With a reputation for being one of the world’s most thirst-quenching, hot weather heroes, the launch of the supreme Stiegl Grapefruit Radler in Sainsburys couldn’t have been timed any better as the temperature rises and a summer of sport, staycations and outdoor adventures begin.

Produced by combining Stiegl’s famous Goldbräu lager with fresh grapefruit juice, this much-revered, naturally cloudy Radler-style beer contains just 2% alcohol by volume but offers an explosion of fruity flavours, fizz and tang for the ultimate refreshment. It is available in a 500ml can in Sainsburys, priced at £2.00.

An absolute must for some sun-drenched summer sipping, Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is fantastic alongside spicy barbecue dishes, fruit-forward desserts and is also perfect for the adventurous home mixologist looking to create some unassailable beer cocktails.

Great examples of beer cocktails include MEATLiquor’s famous Radlerita, drink writer Jonathan Hatchman’s Rad Paloma, beer writer Mark Dredge’s Campari Radler and blogger Happy Skin Kitchen’s Grapefruit Beerlini. (Full details of these recipes and four more fantastic beer cocktails are below).

    About Stiegl

The Stiegl brewery grew out of what was a popular beer-making guest house called the‘Bräuhaus an der Gstätten’. It was first mentioned in written records on the 16th June 1492 and was located in Salzburg, Austria.

Over thepast 500-plus years, the brewery has seen everything from immense joy and celebrations to fires, war and economic turmoil but throughout, it has remained, playing a huge part in the city and country’s culture and history. Even Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart guzzled a few Stiegl beers in the 18th century.

Most famously known for its multi award-winning Stiegl Goldbräu beer, Stiegl utilises a wealth of brewing experience combined with some of the most high-tech brewing equipment, processes and procedures in Europe, whilst benefiting from the finest Austrian raw materials often cultivated in the brewery’s own fields.
